Jim Corbett National Park is one of the most famous national parks of India worldwide. It was India’s first wildlife sanctuary that was established in the year 1936. Located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand, the park has a history of attracting wildlife enthusiasts to experience the famous jungle safari in India. The famous park is known to be the first ever Project tiger initiative. Jim Corbett National Park was initially known as Hailey National Park after Sir Jim Corbett’s sister. 

IT was later named as Jim Corbett National Park in 1957 to commemorate the life and efforts of Jim Corbett who was a glorious hunter, naturalist and writer. He was considered to be one of the most skillful and renowned hunters of the colonial phase. In addition to that, he made a major and considerable contribution to the establishment of the National Park. The Jim Corbett terrain experiences heavy rainfall heavy rainfall all the way from July till September. It is unquestionably one of the best ecotourism destinations in the world.
