Jim Corbett National park was established in the year 1936 as
Hailey National Park. It is India's oldest and the most prestigious National
Park. Tourists can now find ample number of places to stay in Jim Corbett. There

The park served as a launch pad for conservation efforts known as
Project tiger in the year 1973. Project Tiger was launched in India to protect

520 square kilometres. The terrain of the Park is hilly, marshy depressions,
riverine belts, grasslands and large lake. It is one of the few tiger reserves
in India that allows visitors to spend night in the Park.
