The Famous Temples of Jim Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett National Park is India’s oldest National Park that was set up in the wake of safeguarding the endangered species of the Royal Bengal Tiger. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Parvati, is also the home to the God Baba Bhairon, Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Saraswati. In Garjia temple, a large fair is organized on Karthik Poornima. Sitabani Temple

Sitabani temple is the place of Goddess Sita, wife of, Lord Ram. Sitabani temple is located on 20 km away from Ramnagar. The temple organizes a large fair every year on the day of Ramnavami. It is believed to be the place that goddess Sita spent her day of exile in Sitabani forest near to Sitabani temple. The structure of Sitabani temple makes it the attractive monument in Jim Corbett. Devidhura Temple, Champawat

The famous hunter, Jim Corbett’s tale "temple tiger" is associated with these Devidhura temples. Devidhura temple is situated among tall deodar and oak trees surrounded by beautiful native flora and fauna. This temple is the wonderful place for trekking and being with the mountains. At the temple of Barahi Devi on the Raksha Bandhan day, unusual fair is conducted which attracts a number of people from Nepal, Kumaon and other places.

An Unrealistic Experience in the Jungles of Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett national park is popular worldwide for being the beauty that it is. The growth of tourist interest in the destination has given rise to establishment of the best tiger resorts in India. We, human beings, are sometimes the strangest creatures, and often find ourselves competing with each other in the race of life.

However, there is one thing that binds us all. We are blessed with treasured and the most beloved memories from our days of childhood that give us the most soothing vibe of nostalgia every time we think of them. Jim Corbett makes for the best destination to spend a holiday or vacation in peace amidst nature. The experience promises to be the best that one can observe in their lifetime. One such time, I panned a trip to Jim Corbett national park to indulge my self into the mesmerizing beaut of Jim Corbett national park.  Form the various holiday resorts in Corbett, we chose Jim’s jungle Retreat as our destination to stay at and I must say the place did not disappoint one bit.

Besides relaxing in the nature’s lap, my family and I had another objective- spotting the sight of the mighty royal Bengal tiger.  So, just within a few days, we began our family expedition to our chosen holiday destination. After covering a distance of few hours on road, we finally reached the Jim Corbett National Park and checked into our resort. Little did we know, as kids, that the place would turn out to be a blessing in disguise, as we were taken aback by the splendid view and the fresh scent of lush green forests, so much so, that we even wished we had come to this place earlier in our lives.

We were lucky to catch the glimpse of the early morning sunrise as the rays of the sun filled the entire landscape with its yellow and golden hues. That was the sight truly worth remembering. Shortly, after getting a call from our room service, we headed towards the lobby downstairs, where we could see people in groups, waiting for the jeeps to arrive, that were arranged by our resort for our early morning jungle safari. Yes, you read that right! In a few minutes, excitement was all over my face as I found myself experiencing the thrill and exhilaration of my first ever jungle safari adventure.

The hospitality of Jim’s jungle retreat made it stand out from the distinctive holiday resorts in Corbett. We had thoroughly done our research of different destinations to stay form numerous holiday resorts in Corbett. Jim’s jungle retreat stood out as it no-way near made us feel that we are living in a resort. It enhanced our overall experience of living in the wild life. The place felt like it was a part of the Jim Corbett jungle. Our safari turned out to be exactly how we had imagined it to be for we were fortunate enough to spot a tigress along with her family.
